Encoder can't make oggvorbis

Hi,

marilist 3.0.15 doesn’t seems to be able to make oggvorbis streaming in the streaming module.
When you select oggvorbis, you can select mp3 bitrate like 96k, 128k… but not ogg quality : 0, 1, 2…
When you select for example 128k and that you connect the streaming module, there’s a “connect” message but nothing happen.
Is it a bug, a mistake… how could I solve it without using a standalone module for streaming ?
Thanks for your help.

That’s very strange indeed.

I have tried both v3.0 and v3.1 (latest builds). v3.1 can broadcast both MP3 and OggVorbis without any problems. With v3.0, MP3 works fine, but using Ogg Vorbis, the Icecast status page shows that a source is connected, but there isn’t any data.

I cannot see the exact reason. I propose you upgrade to v3.1, it will be out for production in a few days anyway.

v3.1 also offers the ability to specify additional command line parameters to oggenc.exe (or lame.exe for MP3), so you can fine-tune the audio format as needed (quality etc.).

3.1 is still in beta but as soon as it will be ready to final I’ll upgrade it.
Thanks for your help.
