Dummy item : no action ?

Hi Torben,

In mairlist, when I add dummy items in the playlist, I can add “Actions on start” on the element.
I tested it and it doesn’t work. It’s okay with audio items, but not with the dummy element.

Using MusicGen, I will use Dummy element as “Time marker”. My mairlist scripts will detect the dummy items and make attributes and properties modificationq for automation. I would like dummy item can launch actions (in fact, mairlist scripts).

I could eventually use “event”, but it’s not the correct way to meet my needs.

Is it a bug ?

Sorry, this is not possible. Dummies cannot be played, so you cannot attach any start/stop actions. It’s a mistake that the GUI offers that anyway. I will change that soon.

Do the sections (hours) start with a jingle or so? Then you could use that one as a marker.

Or modify your script so that the the item right after the dummy item is edited.

I will try to make a mix between scheduled “event” and start actions on the first next item of the marker… ^^
