For the audio setup, please see this post in the German forum (perhaps someone can translate - I don’t have the time for that right now):

For the remote control setup, things are really easy. Just add a new Airlite remote, and then, for every player, set the corresponding USB input channel used for that player.

You can also configure the push buttons for the cartwall.

Home users, please note that the Airlite module is not included in mAirList Home Studio by default, but you can buy it for €50. Send an e-mail to info@mairlist.com for payment info etc.

Torben, welcome back

The audio set up for the remote control D&R Airlite is not easy. I have to use Direct Sound, WASAP is not working.

Can you please write a WIKI on this subject? And how (once it’s working) can I save the settings so after a reboot things are not messed up?

What’s the problem with WASAPI? What is wrong about it?

With DirectSound, you will always have the “mix up” problem.

It seems .fla or .flac files are not supported (mAirList version 5.1.4, Windows 10 Pro) in WASAPI mode. Although bassflac.dll is present.

The file formats should not make any difference at all.

What happens when you try?

The song freezes, right at the start

And you are sure that it only happens with FLAC files?

Can’t test or reproduce at the moment. mAirList is On Air, stable running with DirectSound.

ROUGH TRANSLATION TO ENGLISH (INSTALLATION GUIDE FROM GERMAN FORUM)

In what order to sign in the four USB devices with you in the system, so that as a “USB Audio”, which so appears as “2 USB Audio” is, more or less arbitrarily. The must comply in no way the real order of the channels on the desk!

In the console is simply a USB hub built on the four individual sound cards are connected. If this “all at once” are connected to the PC, it is random, which is first connected to the PC, which as the second, etc.

The exception is “USB 5”, so the VoIP channel - this has its own USB port and does not run via the internal hub.

Therefore, First you should go into the Windows Control Panel, playback devices, identify the relevant channel, and then the device into something meaningful rename (properties dialog of the playback device: For example, “Airlite USB 1” instead of “speakers”). The name will also appear in the mAirList configuration.

Furthermore: When using DirectSound, the devices are identified only by their number / position in the playback device list, and that can change quickly if, for example the default device adjusted, or in some cases when the computer reboots.

Therefore, if possible always take WASAPI, here, the devices have a unique ID, which should not be changed even after a reboot or changes in the Windows playback devices.

On which of the four USB soundcards which output signal (as a recorder) is linked in from JLLL manual in section 6.9:

USB-1 = Main program signal.
USB 2 = AUX output signal
USB 3 = Voice track signal
USB 4 = (off) AIR signal

This is also clear what is to be set: Encoder Line: 1 USB, Voice-track Mic: USB 3

The command to stop all carts is “Cartwall STOP ALL”, it however you need the latest v5.1 snapshot, the command has been recently refitted.
