I can’t get Mairlist to save the column layout in 5.2 or 5.3 in the playlist.
I right click and select my columns then use the mouse to arrange position and width.
I then select save column layout and when I reload Mairlist it defaults back without the changes.
I have tried doing it in layout designer as well with no luck. I’ve also tried saving my desktop…still no good.
If I look at preferences.ini I can see Playlist 0 column settings and they are changed.

Do you make changes in the playout area? I think this will always reset on restart of mAirList. Try the layout designer / layout.ini file and configuration options.

I think it should remember the layout, my playlist layout doesn’t change once it’s saved. A friend of mine however has the same “problem” and we can’t figure out why.
On the other hand, I have problems saving the layout and width of the columns in the database for some strange reason. Anyone else having this?

I have tried in the layout designer, saving the layout and in Mairlist itself for the playlist, I haven’t tried in the database.
I tried saving the whole desktop as an mld and also mlt file. But it always defaults back.
I’m just trying vary some column widths and also move the link column and add the years column. It’s very frustrating.
I can’t remember if it was OK in Mairlist 4 or not.
I wonder if Torben is aware of a problem?
I had the same problem. When I changed in config\preferences.ini it works. My example:
[Playlist0] [b]ColumnWidths=117,578,54,40,0,0,0[/b] ColumnOrder=0,1,2,3,4,5,6 SortColumn=-1 SortDirection=Ascending
