In mAirList, the “cartwall” is not a “wall of carts” but rather a “wall of players”. Adding players to the cartwall (in its current fashion) makes no sense, because the slots are actually players.
It seems that what we are slowly gravitating towards here is a JazlerShow!-style stack of ‘chained’ Players, with something like the JazlerShow!Collect and Sequence ‘toggle’ buttons.
When Collect is ‘down,’ clicking a cart in a ‘standard’ Cartwall player adds that cart to the next free Player in the stack of ‘chained’ Players. This allows you to ‘collect’ carts from any Cart Set and effectively make up a new Cart Set in the ‘chained’ set of Players.
When Sequence is ‘down,’ clicking any Player in the ‘chained’ Players will play that cart AND all the following carts (if any), optionally clearing each Player at EOF. When Sequence is ‘up,’ the ‘chained’ Players revert to standard Cartwall-type Players.
I think the best way to describe it is that the ‘chained’ set of Players can be switched from cart-style one-shot playout to Playlist-style automated, sequenced playout (if that makes sense!).
I hope I have understood the idea:
The button strip will be replace the Dropdownmenu (Selection for Cardsets). Is that correct?
I think this is a good idea! Better control with a touchscreen.
Will be a renewed push make a update (Load the Cartset again)
Ah, I see… If Torben impliments them as “buttons”, then they should. I think main jist of this thread is to make the Cartwall Sets a bit more touch-screen friendly
