Cartwall automation

Have just download trial of home studio and am trying to get jingles to play in auto mode using cartwall. Is there a setting that I am missing? All I need is all jingles in a cart stack to play one after the other. Many thanks.

Not designed that way, but you can set triggers on each item in a cartwall to start another cart. Right click the item in question, then select triggers etc and set each one up. The playlist is designed to play one after the other, Cartwall is more a, well Cartwall…

Also, Ken: a Cart Stack in a mAirList Cartwall Player more closely resembles a real cart with more than one item recorded on it. This is useful for station idents: put maybe a dozen into the same Cart Stack and train your presenters to use that Cartwall Player for idents. Done properly, this ensures that one station ID doesn’t get overplayed at the expense of the others.

If what you want is a simulation of the old Sonifex cart machines which would play two or three carts one after the other, then the main Playlist does that. Alternatively, you could add a second Playlist just for that one job.

Hello Ken, welcome to the mAirList forums.

To achieve click the link column in the playlist for each item (except the last) which you wish to play consecutively. edit An arrow should appear linking the itemsedit ends

Alternatively highlight each item you wish to link and right click - now create a container. Drag the container into a player and press play, each item will play in sequence. Remember in the config to set that once played the item is ejected from the playlist, other wise it will remain in a playlist ready for re-use.

However as Cad suggests a second playlist may be the simplest solution.

btw:These tips refer to version 2, I’m no longer involved in radio but commented on from memory.

Many thanks for the replies. I have gone for the second playlist method as it’s the easiest.
