Are File Recorder Input names changable?

Is there a way to change the File Recorder Input names?
I would like to have, for example, 3 or 4 available Stereo inputs, but instead of having them named File Recorder Input 1 through 4, I would like the names to be a bit more descriptive like PGM, REC, Clean, Split so the name describes what kind of signal is behind them… I can’t seem to find a way to rename the inputs, or find them in a config file where the name is being reflected in the File Recorder GUI…

I suggest turning this into a feature request.

If that’s implemented, it certainly won’t be in v6 or v7, but in v8. That would be the only limitation on your idea, but that was already the case back in September 2025.
