Is there a way when adding a directory to the data base from the windows explorer with out starting up mairlist again. Like resyncing the database?
So you do not have to restart everytime mairlist

Normally you don’t do that all to often 
What you can try is:

Close all Database windows
-
Add the Database browser window pane
-
Right-click the database in the browser, click “Disconnect”
-
Right-click the database again, now click “Connect”
This will reconnect the database and re-read all storages.
