You say long time asked, are you refering to: Type column in Browser Database Search results?
This a post from 10 years ago where Torben speaks of an advanced view. I am not that familliar with the old versions but could it be that the database button is a result of that request? I do not see an other feature request regarding this.
Can you tell me what feature request you mean so I can +1 it. 
If not present, I would like to add the feature request.
