4.2 User Manual

I have seen the mAirList 4.2 User Manual, German (PDF) on the website do we know when the English one will be out

I believe the v3 manual is used for v4 although some content may not be applicable to v4. The author is Cad, so perhaps he’ll chime in. I haven’t seen him on the forum in a short bit however.

Paging Cad, paging Cad ;D

It might be quicker for me to learn German :-\

Sean: funnily enough, I don’t work in radio, nor do I have any official connection with Torben or his company; so projects like the English mAirList manual are done in my spare time: which for other reasons I’ve had precious little of, lately.

As my life is so busy at present, I can’t commit at all to producing an updated manual for v 4.2. Unless and until I can, I’m afraid you’ll have to ask other users in the Forum about any features not in the v3 manual. I’ve never used the voicetracking, for example, so I literally know sod all about it.

PS: I’m so busy, I haven’t even had time to upgrade beyond v4.1!

Cad-

The manual is excellent. I know that many look for the v4 manual, so what are your thoughts on the following suggestion? Rename it as the manual for v3 and v4; include some text on the first page that the manual covers both versions and that additional information is available on the forum. Then it’s finished as best it can be but could be updated later.

Alec,

That’s a good idea: I’ll try to find some time to organise that soon. Right now, my spare time is going into making SFX for a panto (having already made some backing tracks for their >ahem< ‘talent’ to Karaoke-sing over).

I’m only doing it because my favourite lady friend is involved in it. She is the MD, and was organising what was going to be the live band (with me on bass guitar), but so many people dropped out or called off that a duo wouldn’t really have worked. Also, being a community panto., all the producers (yup, there are several) think they’re Supreme Beings and have therefore felt free to change the songs every few days, then give her a hard time for not coming up with backing tracks for rehearsal. No concern at all about all the £££ she’s spent acquiring the sheet music for each song they propose, only to drop it a few days later. Hey ho.

(with my apologies for the off-topic rant!)

I definitely understand the need to give priority to the favourite woman

Cheers Cad!
