When I am using the VT dialog I start the first player, press record when I want to talk and then start the seconds player. But somethings I press record and wait a few seconds before I start talking.
If I do that and mAirlist plays the playlist with the voicetrack, that track is played until the Fade Out point, then the voicetrack is started, with some seconds of silence first.
Am I doing something wrong? I got a lot of silence in my voicetracked program because of this.

I had to read it properly to see what is happening. Tony is right, however you don’t need to start Player 1. The marker is set on PLayer 1 to 10 seconds before the end cue(fade next?), so when you hit Record, it will start Player 1 as well (from the marker), then you can start to speak as you want. You can also move the marker back or ahead depending, I usually move it back on songs with slow endings etc. or if I want a longer talk over. Hope that makes sense.
Still no luck. But I got some more information on my problem. The voicetrack recorder will use the Start Next on the previous song to indicate where to start the voicetrack. I am using the voicetrack recorder in the database window.
When the playlist with the voicetrack is loaded during playout, the start next marker is gone, so the voicetrack will start at the Fade Out marker.
Edit:
I record a voicetrack, save the playlist in the database window, open another playlist and then go back to the previous playlist and open the voicetrack in the mixeditor, the start next is already gone…
