2nd station with mairlist 4

Hi Torben

Is it already possible to start a second station with the beta test as wel . We have tried to set it up last night but we did mark some problems with the second database

we added a second database in postgress
so far so good
buth when connecting this with the gui than it would not start
it says that the database not exist.
is it possible to add a second encoder to for the second stream already

Is the second station using the same set of audio files? If so, you don’t need a second PostgreSQL database (= completely separate mAirListDB instance). Just open mAirListDB management tool, go to Configuration, Stations tab, and enter the name of the second station. Then restart mAirListDB - a new menu should appear where you can switch between stations.

You need a separate playout instance for either station. It is not possible to use just a second playlist within a single instance, because the encoder can only handle one main program.

The ability to run multiple playout instances on a single computer will be a paid option in mAirList 4.

Ok Thanks

What i understood from you in privat mails that you could set up to station database in one mairlist database. And putting the mp3 files in to the same database setting up a format for that station. What we did remark was indeed that we did had some problems to get it working. Can you tell me when can we espect this working will be this in september ?

It should already be working in the current beta. I’m not aware of any problems. Just follow the steps I mentioned.

If you think there is a bug or problem, report it here please.
