2.1.15

Hi Torben.

In auto mode, is 2.1.15 sopose to display the next player name in the playlist? I like how it displays the on-air and loaded player names now in auto mode.

I’ve been trying to get the PFL playback colour to work aswell but for some reason can’t. I tried it in the ini files in 2.1.13 but the PFL playback colour seemed to stay the same. I noticed you’ve added a configuration section for it now in 2.1.15 but still doesn’t seem to work for me. I’m not worried about, but thought I’d note it.

Cheers,
Gavin.

Will be fixed in 2.1.16, thank you.

In the playlist or in the players? Which setting did you try exactly?

Torben

PFL’ing in the playlist.

I just double click an item in the playlist to bring up properties, then PFL it. When I start to PFL the item, the PFL player goes red unlike the selected green I chose. Unless that’s for something else?

Cheers,
Gavin.

The PFL player inside the Properties dialog is called “Extra PFL player” and has its own settings in skin.ini, section [ExtraPFL].

Thanks Torben.

My logical thinking isn’t so hot lately. I was trying PFLColor in the playlist thinking it might change the PFL player color from the playlist. Then when I discovered the ExtraPFL section I tried PlayerColor instead of PFLColor in the ExtraPFL section. My mistake :o( All is well now :o) I’m off to figure out the serial port side of things now.

BTW, are the players sopose to fade out in assist in 2.1.16 now? I like this idea, not having to ride faders so much for assist.

No, they don’t. Because I don’t think they should in a proper live assist environment  But I can add an “always fade out at Fade Out marker” option, if you like.

That would be good thanks. If you could do that.

I double checked, 2.1.16 is fading the items in assist mode for me at the moment.

Cheers,
Gavin.

Hm. It’s not supposed to. Probably a bug, coinciding with your request

Looks like they do fade in assist when they were started while you were still in automation mode. If you start them from assist mode, they don’t fade.

Anyway, I will introduced that config option mentioned above, and then make the behavior consistent.

Torben

When I clicked on assist, stopped everything, then started an item in assist mode it still faded out. I think I’m on to the reason why though…

If I have the AutomationAtStartup script active, it makes everything even in assist mode fade even if I switch back out of automation and start the item in assist.

I thought the script only applied at startup rather than effect future operation of mAirList.

I have 3 scripts running at startup. One is to read yyyy-mm-dd playlist, the next automation at startup then the third is load a generic songs playlist if it runs out during automation.

Gavin.

The bug in v2.1.16 is, more exactly: The “auto fade out” option is activated once you switch on automation for the first time, and then never deactivated again.

As of v2.1.17, there will be an “auto fade out also in assist mode” option in the config.
