2.1.141: Browser Database Search columns

In a Browser Database Search pane, the Title column cannot be resized. This means the Artist and Duration columns can only be resized within the rather limited 25% or so of the total width of the pane which remains to the right of the (fixed-width) Title column.

PS: Am I the last person to realise that Browser panes can be renamed by right-clicking on their headings? I just noticed this and it’s very useful! Especially if you then save a Desktop as an MLD which restores the changed pane names as well: brilliant! (So you could have e.g. Main Library instead of e.g. c:\Audio\MP3s\Music MP3s\Tagged For mAirList as the pane name.)

(later) PPS: Minor long-standing nitpick ;). Can you please increase the default width of the Time column in the Recycle Bin pane by about 10–15px? Times shown in military 24-hour format are truncated at present (e.g. 17:15:1…). This column can be manually resized but it would be better if we did not have to :). Thanks in advance!

Hi Cad, re: renaming browser panes, I thought I posted this sometime ago.

Perhaps I forgot.

Kind regards tony.

Actually Tony, it’s more likely that I forgot! :-[

Well, the old Virtual Treeview auto size issue. I don’t know how to work around this. I need the hoAutoSize flag so that the title column is adjusted automatically when the browser is initially shown, but you cannot change the width of the auto size column :frowning:

Anyway, the time column in the recycle bin browser is now 4 pixels wider than before, no more ellipsis now.

Does VirtualTreeview accept a column width of a percentage, as you implied in another recent message? Maybe the answer is to make the Title column (e.g.) 50% and not autosize any columns? Or maybe specify all the column widths as percentages? Or even (shock! horror!) allow us the ability to specify all the column widths ourselves, like we can in a Playlist?

PS: I always used to have similar problems with autosize columns in grids when I used to program for a living, so you do have my sympathy on this one!
