I’m working with 3.1 build 705 and I have a query regarding vst plugins. I’ve downloaded 2 that were recommended in german forum and have set up a local aircheck recording on the encoder.
The problem I have is that the audio doesn’t appear to be going through the plugins and the encoder doesn’t appear to be recording the output to file.
The aircheck is setup as mp3 and the minutes after which a new file is started is on 0. I have tried that on other settings, but the default ones are 0 or 1 minute using the drop down options. I have been able to manually enter 60 mins but it seems to be reverting to 0 everytime I go into the config.
The vst plugins are visible on the plugins tab with priorities setup.
The playback and recording device are setup as the default soundcard which is not one of the settings for the players or carts. Any help would be appreciated.
There might be a problem with the Aircheck. I will investigate that.
The sound processing provided by the plugins is also applied to the local output of the encoder, even when there aren’t any connections or airchecks set up.
Just wondering if there is any advice on this…
Have you routed the player output to “Encoder” on the “Audio Devices” page? You won’t have any signal on the encoder if the players are still outputting directly to the sound card.
The 0/1 minute thing is a bug and will be fixed in the next build. I cannot tell when this will be, probably not during the next week, because I’m pretty busy preparing the new apartment/office we will move to next weekend. Note that mAirList 3.1 is only in alpha/preview stage at the moment. I appreciate any comments and bug reports, but I cannot guarantee any particular level of service. Also, even though the latest build proved to be pretty stable, there are still some ongoing changes in the internal architecture which might break something in the next build. So please do not use v3.1 for production yet, and if you do, have a v3.0 backup system ready.
Thanks Torben, I do appreciate your help. I will try that and let you know.
Oh, and by the way - as a workaround, you can set a higher split duration than one minute by editing encoder.ini manually. Just don’t open the Aircheck configuration dialog again (or at least don’t click “OK” in it), or it will reset the time back to one minute.
