Voicetrack recorder

Hi Torben

Is it possible to build in an extra track to be able to play a short jingle or liner in front of a ramp? I think this is what more users want on the to do list

Hello-

Perhaps I don’t understand your request, but wouldn’t you simply schedule one in the playlist or manually insert one? Perhaps I don’t understand the request

Cheers, Alec M

If I understand you correctly, you want to play a liner OVER the start of the following item’s ramp, yes?

My IVP script will do this, insrting an envelope to fade the track under the liner, and then back up: mark the liner with an Ending of os to achieve this effect.

That’s basicly what i need how can i do this…

so the idea is music outro voicetrack intro new music track 2 a 3 or more sec for a short liner or when you pre record a telephone call the music bed can be placed under it

How can I add this script to the voice track recorder?

It´s already posible to include a Jingle or something else to the VoiceTracking.

Just make your Take and save ist.
After that you can include a jingle in the playlist and fix it within by using the Mixeditor

I do so with musicbeds for example.

Hi Cad

I have no idea. I’ve never used the mAirList VT recorder, nor have I ever tried it.

IVP is designed to ne used with pre-recorded voicetracks, loaded as items in the Playlist. If mAirList VT recorder can produce those files for you, then great.

How do you manage to pre-record phone calls? Which mixer are you using?

Most mixers will do the job.

I know the new Airlite from D&R features a dedicated USB audio interface for VOIP calls, using software like Skype and similar.

Interestingly enough, it also features a dedicated USB audio interface for Voice Tracking, which sends just the mic channels to the computer for recording the voice track. Now that’s smart!

But, I currently have a Behringer 1622FX, and through some clever wiring, and using just about every output going, I’ve simulated a VOIP based TBU, sending only the mics back to the mix for Skype, or IPDTL (I use both), which works nicely for me.

I then record the final output into Adobe Audition for use on air.

I also have my mixer setup so the Main output is used for the live feed, which runs 24/7. The Sub Out is used for production, and the Aux Send is used for VOIP and Voice Tracking. So I can use the mixer for production, whilst the station is live.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Matt,

I use the D&R Airlite and I have no problems configuring the VOIP and use the VT bus for tracking while on air. However, I have a problem locating the sub out. Basically, I want to run the mixer in non stop mode, while me and two other co-hosts record our talk show using elements from the cartwall and skype calls. I cant seem to find a way to feed all this into a separate PC input.
