In the UK the clocks go back on Sunday at 2am, What is the way to handle it, we use the mini scheduler with the news auto firing every hour. then it loads the next hour via an event
Do I dump the news at 2am and just extended that hour until 3am and everything goes back in Sync
All recent versions (including v5.3) should handle the moment when the clocks go back correctly now. In particular, no events will be executed in the “second” 2am hour.
So it actually depends on the action of the hourly event that you use to reload the playlist:
If it’s “load and play database playlist” (at xx:00:00), then make the 2am hour 120 minutes long. Remember that the event is only fired at 2am once.
If it’s “append database playlist” (a few minutes before the TOTH, e.g. xx:55:00), make the 3am hour 120 minutes long (the event is only executed once at the “first” 02:55:00).
That was a bit interesting Off air machines clock changes nothing else happens
On air fires news in, clock changes and it crashes. Strange that one, as the clocks get sync every 1 hour anyway, unless the clock change took the network drive connection out briefly
