If you need to restart a Cartwall button without stopping it first (for rapid replay of sound effects or perhaps a long drone bed), simply map a keyboard shortcut to the button you wish to use and make it perform the action: CARTWALL x STOP;CARTWALL x START (where x is the Cartwall button you wish to control).
This tip is useful if you have a programmed keyboard with all your cartwall/hotkeys.
Obviously, depending on the bed, you could also switch on LOOP for that cart. It depends on the exact application.
But yes, that’s an excellent workaround: nice one!
PS: Have you tried the improved v2.1 IVP script yet? I’m dying to know what people think of it! I tried it with an old voicetrack show of mine last night. Originally I used ACID 4 to do the ‘overlaps’ for talkovers and obviously that was relatively long and painful. Did it with IVP and mAirList in about 10 mins. and the result sounded better than the hand-made ACID 4 results (and no lengthy MP3 rendering time afterwards, either!).
