standard.mlt

I’ve used standard.mlt to specify hot directories that load each time you start mAirList.

Having added additional folders to the hot directories in config, inserting the file onto the repository and then saving standard.mlt again(overwriting the existing file) - It does not open with the new layout next time you start mAirList. Anyway to do this rather than go into the ini files.

Don’t confuse the term “HotDir” used in the config with the directories opened in the browser section (and possibly saved as the default set in standard.mlt).

The “HotDirs” are the directories which appear in the “Add” menu (press the little arrow next to the “Add” button), so you can easily open them in the browser with a single click.

Sorry yes I have specified the hotdir which do appear in the drop down box.

I also loading them among the browsers and saved this as standard.mlt, however any changes made are not saved when overwriting standard.mlt

Night all, day off tomorrow its my 20th Wedding Anniversary.

Can you take a look into the .mlt file? It’s XML, you can open it with any text editor like Notepad. You should see a

<DirectoryBrowser Directory="C:\...." />

element for each open directory browser.

Night all, day off tomorrow its my 20th Wedding Anniversary.

Congratulations! It’s my 19th today … 19 days

Thanks for the good wishes - had a nice day in Birmingham where we took the children to see the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Here are the lines from my standard.mlt that specify the hot directories:

Its the Audio directory not being read.

Tony,
I’ve tried same sort of folder structure (sub folders and the root folder at the bottom) and it works fine. It’s not just a case of a large amount of files being loaded, is it ?

My 6000 MP3s take about 5-7s on the first go, the 5000 WAVs about the same.

Don’t think my test machine only has a couple hundred files to load in all.

just tried it again - blame it on operator error as it seems fine.
