I was wondering if you would be able to add an option when adding every file from a folder onto the playlist.
Just now if I add all the audio files, they are stuck in that order in the playlist until I manually change them (which could take a while)
Can we have an option when adding files to the playlist stage - to have them shuffled, so all tracks are not in alphabetical order, with same artists time and time again if just one music folder
I could imagine a function where you select a range of items from the list, click “shuffle” in a menu, and mAirList will shuffle the selected items for you. This wouldn’t be linked directly to the playlist load function, but still a convenient solution, I think.
It would certainly work like that, but I think most people may want their files to stay in alphabetical order in the filelist.
I guess you would have to ask people or trial it.
I would think it might be easier to shuffle at the adding to playlist stage
I remember there was a script existing, doing what you need.
Alle files are randomized inside the Playlist, I have this working on mAirList 2.x and 3.x

You mean they display sequentially alphabetically, but don’t play out in that order (start at top and play straight down)? Instead, you’re asking that they be shuffled when playlists are generated? I thought it worked that way already. :-\

I remember this script, very useful for overnights.
Compile a playlist of audio to cover the time slot in question, re-use that playlist each night but using the script to shuffle the order before playout starts.
