This is on behalf of a colleague.
He has a shoutcast stream set up in the encoder. At the moment it is streaming meta data, artist and title ok. What he wants to do is not to stream these, but to replace them with just a simple text message.
He can disable the artist etc, but is it possible to stream the text message from within the mairlist encoder set up, please?

Than just replace the %a - %b variables in the META field with the text message you want to send.

Do you just type it in, or would you have to put “” quote or () brackets round it?
I did not search the documentation, but I’d assume, you just type it in as the %ab - %b variables are also not encapuslated by quotes or brackets.
Good Quality software should have it built in on any user Input if encpsulation or escaping is required.
If not, this would be a security risk to insert and execute code.
