:!: Severe Error

mAirList doesn’t play any songs.

When loading tracks into the playlist, I get the following error on each one:

BuildSource:BASS_StreamCreate* error 37, meaning that no files can be played.

V2.1.32

Obviously related to the “file management” feature. I will investigate it. Just switch it off on the BASS.DLL page in the config in the mean time.

Interestingly, this only seems to happen when file management is turned on, and when you mix ASIO and WDM output. At least it’s the case here. Can anyone confirm this?

Can anybody suffering from this error please send me their mAirList.ini?

Has anybody already sent it to you? Otherwise I would do it.

Yes please.

Some of your players are assigned to the “dummy (no output)” device - why?

When I assign them to my first real sound card instead, there’s no error anymore.

Well, it’s not that easy to explain… In my current layout I have reserved some space for the display of elapsed and remaining time (the fields similar to the hour countdown) which you will hopefully implement soon. Don’t ask me why but when I built my layout I reserved this place with dummy-players.

Well - from what we have found out by now, we know that this error only occurs when you mix WDM with ASIO or use dummy players with WDM. I don’t know why this error only occurs in the latest version, and I’m afraid I won’t find out, because the code of the BASS.DLL interface has changed (i.e., was cleaned up) significally for v.32, and it’s not possible to compare the two versions line by line.

Ant, can you please send me your config as well?

Is it possible to resolve this problem? Or do I have to change the output - if yes - why is there such a dummy function? It could also be useful if one uses playlists with hidden players…

I’ve PMed you my config file, Torben.

Ant

Thanks. I have re-enabled file management, but I don’t get error 37 here.

I also get this, when i just turn on the optins "auto determine cue in/Fade/Cue out for new items".

maybe it’s important  ?
