Save button ....

When I’m voicetracking I frequently just click “Save” to keep the playlist saved in case of a mess/corruption/crash etc. I’ve noticed in v6 the ability to just save has gone. It knows just offers “Save As” and also “Save default playlist”. Can I have the option to save existing back please?

You did not save the playlist, you saved the entire “Desktop”. But the desktop feature has gone (for good reasons).

The missing “Save” function has been pointed out lately. It will come (back) soon. First thing is to make the playlist remember the name of the playlist file anyway (which it never has).

Thanks.

As soon as I move the playlist from the database I save it as a file.

I did see the default was an extended M3U file. Any difference to a native .mlp file? Seemed to be ok.

Always use .mlp if in doubt. The save dialog remembers your last choice, so M3U was not the default, only the most recently used format.

This was the first time I used v6 so as fresh as fresh can be

I’ll change to .mlp. Thanks.

Did you copy over the config from v5?

Yes. (So slightly fresh). I never used M3U on v5.

Gentle reminder of the Save button doing a save of an existing playlist…

Reason I remind - I was VT’ing two shows tonight and yes, I overwrote the wrong one by accident!!!. :frowning:

Thanks

No need for a reminder. I’m working on it. It’s part of a bigger feature, so please have some patience.

I’m patient. No problem. Good luck 8)

Hi,

Just wondering when the “save” function will come back? Is this a 6.1 thing?

Thanks

Yes, already implemented in the v6.1 branch. Now waiting for release 8)

 Thanks

And I found 6.1 couple of weeks ago. Works well. Thanks. Any chance of tying Ctrl-S to the “Save” menu option?

Yeah, it’s semi-public beta test, no announcment, only for those who find it themselves

I’ll add remote control commands for all items in the open and save menu, so you can map it on your own to whatever you like.

Even better. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
