Hello, I just start a multi instance MairList for my 5 radios stations. All my music comes in the “Music” type and all my jingles comes in the “Jingle” type classification. So I expected that the mini scheduler looks only the “Music” type when I do the rule of artist separation. It seems that not…
There is something to do for this ?
Thanks
Hello Pierre,
welcome to the mAirList community and the forum.
That’s great, congratulations to that project and thank you for using mAirList.
Okay, let’s have a look at the Mini Scheduler.
All element types are recognized regarding the rules. The only way to use a different rule for the Mini Scheduler is in the Folder Properties in the database library. But I haven’t seen this very often at our customers.
When the rules in the Mini Scheduler won’t match, it takes the item matching best near to the rules. By example, if you only have one item in a folder, it will be picked although it misses the rules.
Another idea: If all jingles are assigned to the same artist (or you give them all the same artist name), the Mini Scheduler will only regard the distance of different jingle names. ![]()
Thank you for your answer.
The system you offers don’t work… Because this is not enough…
But I found the way : you have to increase the average total of penalties to a big number (as my base of music is big) and you put only “1” per rule and this works perfect.
So you can put “don’t play same artist during 48h” and with a total of average penalties important (considering the number of jingles you have), this works… Rule for artists is repeated during 48h and the jingles are played and re runned because the total number of penalties during 48h stay under the average total…
Hope my explanation is clear, not sure…
But this works and I am happy !
Thanks for your help
Pierre
