Request Option "Do Not Start Next on FADEOUT Cue Marker"

I’ve been playing around marking songs and I’m finding that especially with Dance Remixes I’d like to have song 1 start fading out a a point and then once we hit the Start Next cue marker, start the next track and then cue out on song 1.

As at the moment if means dance beats are overlapping because song 2 starts on the beginning of fade of the first song.

Would this be a possible implementation?

cough< That’s what envelopes are for. Go into the item’s waveform, then pull down from the top edge (or up from the bottom edge) of the waveform ‘box’ to add an envelope point. This is exactly what IVP does to create the ‘ducks’ under voicetracks, expect that it uses simple arithmetic to add them rather than doing it manually.

I think ethannz is taking about the same thing that I raised about 6 months ago in this thread

Yeah I thinking the same as Ron

Dance Music is a good example. I want to introduce a 1 minute long fade on a song saved in the database. But I don’t want the following song to start playing until START NEXT has been reached.

Otherwise you could have two different dance’y songs playing overtop of each other and its messy.

See my answer to the other thread - use volume envelopes instead.
