Random jingle selection

Hi All

I have been fooling around with the demo version of mAirlist lately and I must admit I like what I see. Especially the ‘hook container’ function is awesome.

There’s one thing I couldn’t figure out: I want to create an event which inserts a randomly selected jingle in the playlist.

For example:

  • all jingles to pick from are in the same folder named ‘jingles’
  • at xx minutes past every hour a jingle (or 2, or 3) should be picked from this folder an inserted after the playing track
  • when the track has finished playing the jingle should start
  • after playing the jingle, the playlist should continue

I didn’t see an option to select a jingle/track/commercial at random. (i know Zararadio has this function)

mAirList does only play pre-defined playlists, one by one.

Creating random playlists with random jingles is a feature of the upcoming mAirListDB database.

Perhaps. But definitely not easily.
