Problem with some keyboards keys and the "é" letter

Hello !
I’m currently trying mAirList 6 (I was using the 4.4 for my use until now and I’m planning to buy a fresh 6.0 home studio license. The 4.4 hadn’t this problem).
I’m french and we’re using many accented letters (“é” is the only one accented character to be concerned by this issue) and the problem is that every artist with an “é” aren’t imported correctly.
For example, Beyoncé.wav is imported as Beyoncé.wav (so the file is not found because it’s Beyoncé.wav) and when I try to correct that, my “é” letter on the keyboard does nothing. I have to open another program, search for a text box in it, type “é” in its text box, copy the “é” and paste it into mAirList. When I correct the file name with this method, everything is fine and the file can be played.
The “é” is not the only one key that is not working in the software: & é " ! ç à are not working too (they’re situated respectively under 1 2 3 8 9 0 keys on french keyboards).

Sorry for my bad english; I’m very tired this evening and English is quite a bit complicated for us (you should know that :D)

Thanks by advance for your help

Can anybody reproduce this? Not aware of any problem.

No problems here; Beyoncé, Bløf and even Ásgeir are all imported correctly.

Just tried to reproduce this today, got no problem…
That’s strange.
But I have to correct every title that aren’t imported correctly and those caracters cannot be typed with keyboard: & é " ! ç à (this problem still remains).
Do you have this specific issue ?

In Holland we’re using (mostly) the US keyboard assignment. Special keys have to be typed with ASCI characters.

mAirList uses standard Windows controls for almos all edit/input boxes; I have no idea why they would not accept particular characters.

Do you have any Hotkey remotes active by any chance?

PS: Please enter the serial number of your existing license into the forum profile so we can identify you as a valid customer.

Oh you’re right, didn’t thought about hotkeys remotes.
I’ll try at home this evening but I’m sure that it’ll work since I used those keys as remotes (can’t remember if all of those keys were remotes but maybe). Didn’t have hotkeys in older mAirList, that’s probably why it was working…

I’ll enter the serial number to my profile when at home. Where can I find this information? (it’s a “second hand” bought license)

Key that are used as hotkeys will not be available for typing anymore.

License serial number is in the main window title and also the About dialog. All licenses are managed through the customer area on the website. If you bought this second hand, we should move it into your own account. Please contact support@mairlist.com for that matter.

Just tested to remove hotkeys remote and it works !
Thanks for your help.
Just bought “in the process” a 6.0 license and I’m sure I won’t regret it. Thanks for this wonderful piece of software.
