Multiple stations through one mAirlist

Hi all!

I’m currently trying to set up two stations with the same music mix with mAirlist.
The stations share:
Music, Dj, Beds.

The stations should have their own:
Jingles, advertisements, station ID’s

Is this possible?

Yes, this is possible.
We call this feature “Multi Instance”.

Using the multi-instance add-on, you can install and run mulitple mAirList instances on the same unattended hardware simultaneously. Each instance generates a separate set of internet streams, but all instances can share the same mAirListDB audio library. Our free Multi Instance Manager software makes the creation and management of the playout instances a breeze.

Thank you.

Another possible solution were the regionalzation feature:

Regionalization

Define up to 255 regions and audio content to virtual Region Container playlist items. When the item is played, mAirList will split the regional content onto separate sound card outputs. Regionalization integrates seamlessly with the built-in streaming encoder – all regions are available as separate channels inside the encoder, and you can create submixes for any Shoutcast/Icecast connection.

One instance, multiple outputs. Contact Sales anyway.

Hi @Tondose,

that was my second thought, but: Regionalization prefers synchronized regional windows at the same time, but @Mongstaen’s description does not seem to prefer regional contents.

Our sales department :upside_down_face: will see.
Thank you.

Yep, regionalisation implies jingles and ads of identical length each. On the other hand:

Should be synchronous anyway. Selection depends on what’s more affordable … :slightly_smiling_face:

… and mAirList offers solutions how to handle region containers of different length.
It is as comfortable as it is ingenious. Torben has programmed this feature with a lot of know-how and attention to detail.
You would love it if you had it.

In addition to the information already posted below, two interesting links to the Wiki:

https://wiki.mairlist.com/tutorials:mairlistdb:multi-station (managing multiple stations in scheduling, i.e. mAirListDB)

https://wiki.mairlist.com/tutorials:other:multi_instance_playout (multi-instance playout, i.e. running more than one mAirList.exe playout process on the same computer)

In a typical setup, you would use both mechanisms at the same time  But technically, it’s two different things.
