Every year in April our station has one day (24 hours) on which we run a totally diferent format, compared to usual.
Every year I make a special format and manually insert this in the hour assignments. After running the Mini Scheduler for 1 week including the special day, I manually set everything back to normal.
I’m convinced there must be a more efficiënt way, not found yet.
This feature request has been addressed in mAirList 6, where you can define a “special” assignment (along with other assignments like “first weekday in month”, “even/odd calendar week” etc.).
I think there is a way to do it Adriaan, you can make a subplaylist: Database - Administration - Configuration - Subplaylists. Just make a new playlist next to your masterplaylist.
In this subplaylist you can make the special format for this particular day (or the entire week). No need to change it afterwards, you can use it again for next year.
Run the minischeduler for your masterplaylist and for your special playlist.
Make a new Event to load the playlist for the next hour, but this time not for the masterplaylist but for the first subplaylist.
Tick the appropriate Event for this special day and untick the Event for loading the normal Masterplaylist. When the special day is over vice versa. You might also adjust the events slightly for this occasion so the right playlist is loaded automatically.
I’m using this myself for Special Playlist around Christmas for instance.
