Little Help Before Purchase

Hello everyone, not sure if i am in the correct place! I tried contacting mairlist on the main website but the contact page was not there…

anyhow I am planning on buying mairlist for my home studio (internet radio) I have looked at the home version & the pro version the pro version seems to pricey for just home use for me I need help to witch one to buy that will let me broadcast online, and let me connect over servers so i can relay them of my server, i have a behringer dx2000 mixer that i am looking to run with mairlist faderstart, can the home one do this are will i need the pro one?

thank’s in advance

The difference between Home Studio and Pro Studio is merely a legal one - Home Studio is only for non-profit, personal use.

There are very few technical differences. Only some really “pro” features are missing from Home Studio, most notably the networked database (editing the mAirListDB library from multiple computers in your network - unlikely for home use), and support for remote control through digital broadcast mixers (DHD, Lawo, D&R, Axia, etc.).

Hi, I am new to Mairlist too. I have been trying Home Studio over the Christmas period and finding it really great. I too have a Behringer DX2000, and have purchased the Velleman K8055/VM110N.
The VM110 is the ready built version of the K8055 and with a bit of wire, a jack plug and the easy set up in Mairlist all worked straight out of the box.

thanks for the reply’s, if i buy the home version can i add shows from other shoutcasts servers and play them on mairlist? also how do you make the schedules and playlists does it come with a scheduler?

I suggest you download the PDF manual, which you will find here: http://download.mairlist.com/mAirList/v3.1/doc/en/

Have a good read ;D then if you have further questions, or any more which you can’t figure out after you’ve read the manual, ask away and we’ll do our best to answer: fair enuffski?

thanks for all the help, is there anywhere to buy a box mod for the Behringer DX2000

Someone in here was selling one recently; in the Hardware forum I think?

[FX: goes to check the Hardware forum …]

Yeah, here you go: https://www.mairlist.com/forum/index.php/topic,6738.0.html. You could try sending that bloke a PM (= private message; click My Messages above) and asking him if he would build you a box. His may even still be for sale?

Either way, I’m sure he will be able to help you better than I can! But please start a new post for each question as you think of them. It just keeps things tidier overall, and much easier for others to find the answers if they have the same issues, yes? ;D
