I found an intresting thing on the wiki page called
Linking Items
Items can now be linked and are automatically chained within the same player. This allows you to "automate" the playback of certain items while still operating in assist mode.
In order to activate a link, click the rightmost column of the respective item, and a small arrow will appear. Clicking that arrow again will disabled the link.
I have got the latest copy of mairList but i can not find anyway of getting it to link items, i have followed what it says above. can anyone help
it’s an amazing feature, i think.
I’ve seen something similar in a system called “Dalet 5.1”.
The possibility to make a transition between two items in just one player or channel, including the fade, is that great.
i like it…
Yes, you can replace the icons for “linked” and “not linked” (default: blank) by placing two files named “icon_linked.png” and “icon_notlinked.png” into the folder “images” inside the mAirList folder (create that folder if it doesn’t exist yet).
When you change the link status on an item, all players having loaded an item below that item will get unloaded and then auto-loaded again in order to reflect the new structure. This was the safest and most simple way to implement this. However, this should only affect auto-load players. Seems that, in the current version, also non-auto-load players will be unloaded. It’s a bug.
Yes, mAirList will automatically resize the images, even with a “smooth” resize algorithm (which, however, tends to cut a line or row off; I still need to get into contact with the developer of that library).
Found why it wouldn’t work for me. Two things at fault, 1st, my graphic editor, 2nd, my observation powers.
My graphic editor was saving the file name icon_linked.png, cough cough, with .png also as the extension = “icon_linked.png.png” Of course I was completely oblivious to the fact I have show extensions off in Windows and didn’t notice the extra .png on the file name.
I should have known better, my graphic editor has done this a few times to me in the past with jpg’s as well. My apologies for the distraction. I didn’t actually type the extra .png, it did it for me when I choose to re-save over an exsisting file on occasion.
I like the link system. I’m modifying that MC looking chain I did for the link column instead with a diagonal break in the middle for unlinked. Although I might make something different.
I’ve figured out what’s going wrong on me. When I unlink the current ONAIR playing item, mAirList doesn’t reload the next audio items correctly with autoload switched on.
Instead, if I have other unlinked items further down the playlist, mAirList jumps way down the playlist and loads the NEXT player with an item following the next unlink in the playlist, not the one immediately after the ONAIR loaded item.
When I click link on the current ONAIR item again, then it correctly reloads the NEXT player with the next audio item in the playlist.
