will it still play the updated news bulletin even though ive added it to the database?

yes it will. The database only keeps information, where to find the file.
As long as the filename keeps the same, it will work.
You probably want to delete the automaticly detected Cue markers in your database entry, to prevent in hickups, if the length of the file changes.
Hi can Torben help here when I add my news file from dropbox it imports it to my storage folder instead of keeping to the dropbox folder how do we get around this ??
mAirlist doesn’t copy files anywhere. The database just references the file location.
… that is unless you use the Auto Importer, which will actually copy the files to the configured storage and delete them from the original location.
I think what @xlrradio1 is looking for is something like an “Auto Sync”, which has been requested before but has not become reality (yet).
So best practice would be, to import it once, as I described in my first answer already. And keep that one Databaes Entry but just exchange the file. Assuming, the file name, will be the same each hour. So not re-import each hour but just update.
Would indeed be a handy feature, just bundled with the auto importer.
