How to START my console with mAirList ?

Hello,
I am writing to you for a very specific request.

I have a console "POWER " with électrostarts in DIN-6 (like this: http://rocky.digikey.com/weblib/CUI 20Inc/Web%%% 20Photo/New 20Photos/SD-60.jpg). I just purchased DIN-6 ready to weld, able to create my own cable to choke my slices with mAirList.

The most difficult tasks lie ahead and go with my questions.

I want to “start” the knobs so that when I go (up) a knob on the console, it created the action “play” a player in mAirList.

My questions are:

  • Which port to choose, the PC side? (Sub D15? 232?)
  • How do the connections on the PC side?
  • How to configure mAirList choke the knobs? (plane?)

If you have very precise explanations for the connections correct, please.

Here, here, the exact port that is behind my console “POWER”:

This is the same principle as this video, I would:

Thank you for your help and your advice

So you want to start mAirList with your console (by moving the fader), not the other way around.

This is usually referred to as “faderstart” or “remote start”, and you need some sort of interface between the mixer and the computer, e.g. a modified USB gamepad or a USB gameport adapter.

I propose you visit Charlie’s site, he has a good how-to (scroll down to “Joystick remote starts”): http://www.charliedavy.co.uk/technical.php

Torben hello and thank you for your reply
My English is difficult, you understand my request. I spoke well of faderstart.

I’ll visit the link you gave me.

Thank you
