First off al, I would like to wish all users of Mairlist happy newyear! Hopefully it will be a year full of music!!
I am a user of Mairlist for almost half a year now (before i used a freeware playout system but it didn’t fill my needa anymore…)
Now there was one very cool feature in that freeware and I was wondering if people would like this feature within Mairlist.
I am not familiar with programming any software so I have no idea if it would be possible in the way Mairlist uses the database. But you’re always free to ask right?
In Mairlist u can schedule the music perfectly. But what i didn’t found. A readout of the exact playout.
I mean… it would be great if u can see played items in chronical way for a specific period.
Also, it would be cool if it would be possible to read out a playcount of all songs in a specific period. It would give a great view of wich songs are scheduled more then others. With that information you would be possible to edit the music blocks even more precise to the needs of the station.
As i said, the freeware had this feature (in a seperate program) and it was very handy. Also it was possible to export a search to excel so it was easy to order and review the history.
I know people will say… just view the scheduled playlist of the past. But what if a dj edits the playlist during his hours. we give our dj’s some freedom to change a few items so planned playlist might have some changes.
We plan a playlist for each hour, but it would be great to read out a whole day/week or even month in one view.
I hope people like this feature and in the future such kind of search possibility would be part of mairlist.
In the attachments you see screenshot of the software from the other playout software i have used in the past. Hope it makes my question even more clear!
