Few questions

Hi i have only recently started using Mairlist but i have a few questions i have read the tutorials over an can’t find answers

  1. add sweepers to tracks (have read forum an can’t find answer)
  2. add colour to track groups
  3. at the start of a playlist there is silence loaded is there anyway to fix this or replace it with top of the hour jingle

hopefully someone can help

  1. Either add them to the hour template (using “random item from folder”), or use the transition feature in the music template: https://www.mairlist.com/dokuwiki/tutorials:mairlistdb:music-scheduling#transitions

  2. You can either use Mass Edit to set a color for all items of a particular folder, or if you rather want colors based on the item type (music, jingle, …), you can also do so through skin.ini: https://www.mairlist.com/dokuwiki/reference:skin.ini_reference#row_appearance

  3. Silence at the start of the playlist? Don’t quite understand what you are talking about. Please explain.

Hi, thanks for your reply what i meant when adding sweepers i was trying to add them over the top of a track sorry i didn’t make that clear

The automation can currently only start items in the order that they appear in the playlist.

This will change in a future version :slight_smile:

great! :slight_smile: look forward to the update! Regarding the silence at the start of the playlists I have attached a screenshot this happens when I run a playlist an click auto it wont let the playlist play for some reason

You have a fixed time of 00:00:00 set on the first item of the playlist, but that time has not been reached yet, so the automation keeps waiting, using an infinite silence item.

Generally, this makes sense, as the 23:00 playlist should still be active at that point in time.

Anyway, if you don’t want it that way, there’s an option in the playlist settings about waiting for fixed time items or not.
