Hello,
How works the encoder on mAirlist personal edition?
Is there a button to connect the server?
And where can i see of it is connect?
it is a stupid question to ask how the encoder works?
30 views and nobody can help?
Perhaps the answer is that none of us use streaming from mAirList? We don’t do that at our station; we have a separate program which streams to the Web, split from our FM transmitter feed.
Likewise we use a third party encoder. However I think the encoder within mAirList is not for streaming (please correct me if I’m wrong).
The last time I used the encoder it was just for creating a mixdown of a playlist.
i.e. Build a playlist and mixdown all the files inside it into a single file to use as a self contained programme.
Kind Regards Tony
Oke Thnx
Sorry I misunderstood.
Maby an idee for a next version…
mAirList 3 does contain an encoder for streaming to Shoutcast or Icecast now.
You need to add a “Encoder Status” GUI object in the config in order to access the connect/disconnect button. You also need to download lame.exe and place it into your mAirList folder.
Remember that this is very experimental at this time.
Hi Torben, then I stand corrected. In which edition is this present?
Kind Regards tony
Only in the paid editions (Personal and Professional).
Today i have test de encoder but it don’t work.
Torben, can you create a window or something where we can see the status.
Go to “GUI -> Other Screen Objects” and add an encoder status window.
I have already done.
the only thing that change is the button.
How can i see that is really connected?
And if it can not connect, where can I find out what the problem is…
(translate with google) 8)
The button icon should change once the connection is established.
Please remember that this feature is at alpha stage.
