I have got myself a new mixer aAllen and Heath ZED 14 its a usb mixer
My problem is this
I an using the mAirList encoder with both buttons Line and Mic
Line= USB
Mic= PC Soundcard
When one is clicked it will also play the other have i done something wrong my config will be at the end of the topic.
What i’m trying to do is
keep the line on all the time and take the mic off the encoder so anything from my soundcard is cut so i can talk on skype or what ever i want with my soundcard
Default Devices = No audio
PFL = N/A
Encoder
Playback= No audio
Mic= Line in
line= USB
Voice tracking= N/A
Playlist 1
all players = USB
Usually, when you work with a mixer, the setup is like this:
Player signals go directly to the soundcard outputs.
Soundcard outputs are connected to the mixer.
The microphone is also connected to the mixer, as well as other devices (CD player etc.)
Master signal of the mixer goes into Line In of the soundcard - you can use the built-in USB soundcard for this purpose
Audio setup for Encoder: Line In = USB from mixer; Mic In = off; Playback = off
Now enable LINE button in encoder status, and you’re done
If you want to use the mic off air, you will have to use an AUX bus of the mixer; close fader and turn up AUX for the mic channel; then connect the AUX output to another line in on your soundcard - that line-in is used as the input for Skype etc.
