Don't let the track stop playing while aut. event execute

when the automation plays a file, the current track stops. The intention is that the playing MP3 is not interrupted, but paused or decreased in volume. Our mp3s are a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 10 hours. The shows are already done. But to play an information jingle every hour, Mairlist shouldn’t stop the show!

Hi and welcome to the community and forum!

Please try this:

  • Add a second playlist with only one player.
  • Set the routing (see "Audio Devices) of this player to “Encoder - High Priority”.
  • Now add an event which is only valid on playlist 2: “Play file” (or whatever you want).

When the file in playlist 2 is played, the high priority “suppresses” the automation in playlist 1, which is still running. At the end of the file in playlist 2, mAirList continues playing the playlist 1.

Would this help you?
