Database Performance Synchronous Mode

Hi Torben & Everyone,

Can anyone tell me what the Synchronous Mode settings do in the Configuration menu under the Connection Tab in v5.2.2. And which is the best setting to use for a locally stored database… FULL, NORMAL, OFF ?

Also I’ve been told that v5 allows you to save the “YEAR” an MP3 track was released. Apparently the “year” column should appear in the Playlist section of the Database and in Main Playlist1. How do I turn on this function? or have I misinterpreted this in some way.

Not sure about Synchronous mode, but you can add a Year column in the Playlist of the player window.

To do that:-

  1. First open up Configuration.
  2. Expand Playlists so Playlist 1 is visible.
  3. Select Playlist 1, and click on the Columns tab.
  4. In the main box on the columns tab, enter year, then click on Save.

If mAirList is still open, close this, then re-open and you should see a Year column in the Playlist window.
