Control mAirList from iPad or iPhone

Hi,

I’ve just seen this new feature from TriCaster which allows the user to trigger the TriCaster remotely using a touch screen phone or tablet. http://tips.newtek.com/how-to-control-your-tricaster-using-a-smart-phone/?mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRolvKvIZKXonjHpfsX94u0lWK%2Bg38431UFwdcjKPmjr1YcESMJ0aPyQAgobGp5I5FEBSrDYTbZjt6QOWg%3D%3D

I’m just wondering, is there anything like that for mAirList?

There are iOS apps that let you use your devices as a MIDI controller, with a virtual MIDI port driver. Then you can use it with mAirList just like any other MIDI device.

Why not simply use a Remote Desktop app? Then you can do everything you want on a tablet or even a smartphone, allthough a phone might be rather difficult.

I’m using Splashtop (for iOs) and that works great on an iPad.

Thanks CROOZEmaster, but the idea is to use the iPhone, or iPad as a touch screen interface for mAirList. Especially as I’m planning to upgrade from my iPhone 5S to 6S Plus shortly.

Oh and I already use TeamViewer for remote login.

I’m going to use rtpMIDI on Windows (it is also Windows 10 compliant, not that I run 10 yet), and either TouchOSC, MidiPad, or ProPads by Far Out Labs.

ProPads looks like the best choice, as you can customise the pad sizes, names, and have multiple layouts that you can switch between quickly.

Might do some experimenting this weekend, and see how it goes. The idea is to use it to trigger the two players and button wall.

Long term a touch screen would be much simpler, but if you’re on a budget this is a perfect solution.
