Maybe this also has to do with my previous midi issues?
From the main program (Control panel) the midi Remote Control option won’t capture data.
It works when I am in the standalone configuration…
I am curious.

Has always been this way. The “capture” code was written long before the Control Panel existed, when there was only the standalone config program.
The problem is that it tries to open the MIDI device (again), which won’t work if the device is already in use by the actual remote.
What might work: Disable the remote (uncheck it in the list) before you double-click and configure it.
