Buffer settings

Hi All,

I have a question and hope that somebody can help me out.
I work with M-Airlist Home on a vps server and that worked out fine for months. A few days ago my provider had a node transfer and since then i ave huge problems with my encoders. When the load changes on the vps the encoders become instable and begin to buffer.
My provider was very helpful and added more cores to see if that would fix the problem but that didn’t help. With these extra cores and extra ram the vps only runs on 16% load when M-Airlist and Stereotool are on, so this can’t be the problem. I also did a speedtest to see if the internet connection is to slow but that was super fast, upload and download.
I upgraded from version 5.2 to 5.3 and tried the latest Lame ecoder but whatever i do nothing helps…still get the buffers.

I don’t know if it is possible but i thought maybe changing the buffer settings of the encoder could help. Does anybody know if this is possible in M-Airlist and do you think that this can solve my problem?

Looking for ward to your answers !

The problem is fixed after a fresh new install of M-Airlist.

thank’s for all the replies, i feel overwhelmed

You must allow some time for the replies, there is no guaranteed reaction time.

Not sure what the problem was here. The encoder does not have a “buffer” of its own, it just passes the data to the streaming server as fast as it can.

Hi Torben,

Thank’s for your answer
I think that after all there must also have been a hardware change to te server, this alo explains why i had to renew my license.
Probably these changes corrupted my installation of M-Airlist.
