Currently, I have an audiofile, news.mp3, that is overwritten every hour, 5 minutes before it goes on air. In the database the file has the type ‘News’.
If the audiofile is already in the playlist, the duration isn’t automatically adjusted.
What’s the best practice to add a newsfile to the playlist?
Is there a manual for this kind of things? The newscontainer looks complicated at first sight.
The current duration will be displayed as soon as the item is loaded into a player.
Just make sure you remove all cue markers (in particular Fade Out and Cue Out) in the library so a possible longer version will not be cut off early.
Also consider checking “do not prebuffer” in the item playback options (again, from the DB library).
