I’m currently running mAirList with a PostgreSQL db to allow network access.
As someone who’s worked in I.T for the last 21+ years, I’m only too aware, from experience, of backing up.
So, what config files, settings, blah blah, do I need to back up so that in the event of total system failure, I can re-install mAirList on a new machine, and restore the configuration as of its previous state.
Why not clone your entire hard drive with something like Clonezilla ? In case of a crash, it’s not only your mAirList settings that are important, but also all the tweaking you did with the OS, sound card settings etc… And the Postgresql database and audio files off course.
My primary drive is an SSD, and the storage drive with the database and audio is on a Western Digital Red 1TB drive.
The Data Folders in mAirList are still in the default location of “C:\ProgramData\mAirList\5.2”.
Problem with cloning is that it works perfectly with you’re dealing with same computer, but if at any point I decide to install a new machine, then the cloned image would not restore seamlessly.
