I have a question about Mairlist. I’m using now the demo of the home version and it works verry fine! But before i buy him i want to make sure that i can make a back-up from the database, i works with the local database.
To test this i have on a other system the same version of Mairlist, and i try to import this back-up bacause i want to test of this is working, but than i get a error that the database ID does not match. I try this under configuration > Databases and than Import.
Each mAirListDB has a unique ID (GUID) that idenfies the database throughout the software, so you can use multiple connections side by side.
The ID is stored in the SQL database (config table), and also in the configuration (database.ini), and mAirList peforms a check during connection to test if they really match.
To redetect the actual ID, edit the database connection, Advanced tab, clear the value in the Database ID field, then click OK to save. You will see a message saying that the ID has not yet been retrieved, and mAirList will do do when you confirm.
