Background Playlist Color

Hi all,

I have been trying to change the background color of the playlist but without any result yet. I don’t want to change the row colors but when the playlist is almost empty, I would like to change the white background color to another color. How to proceed?

Edit: Sorry guys, found it ;D

Have you tried “BackgroundColor”?

Thanks Torben, I figured it out through the Wiki pages, that’s why I edited my former post

Another question though: I would like to change the appearence of the Waveform in the Players. In which section do I have to put the lines like “InactiveColor=#0b0330”
When I put the lines in the Player section it doesn’t work. When I make a section [Waveforms] it doesn’t seem to work either.

When you solved a problem yourself, consider posting the actual solution, not just “solved!” - this will make this thread much more helpful to other people with the same question later.

For the waveforms, I think you must use the Player section and prefix all settings with “Waveform…”, i.e. “WaveformInactiveColor”. I clarified this in the wiki now, thanks.

Thanks Torben and you’re right: next time I will submit the solution as well: BackgroundColor in the [Playlist0] section

Now I’m trying to change the appearance of the Overlay in the Playlist. Color, Linewidth and Linecolor are already altered; but for some reason I don’t succeed to change the Font of the Overlay with “OverlayFont=Calibri”.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

OverlayFontName, OverlayFontSize, OverlayFontStyle, OverlayFontColor

Thanks Torben!

Work on the skin.ini is almost done. I’m quite happy with the appearance of the overall look. I’m still struggling with the Cartwall though. For some reason I can’t get the same look for the Cartwall.

[ol][li]Purple Arrows: I would like the On and PFL Buttons to look the same as Assist and Auto. The commands used for Assist and Auto don’t seem to apply to the On and PFL Buttons though.[/li]
[li]Red Arrows: Same goes for the Buttons in the Cartwall, I can’t get the same look as in the Playlist.[/li]
[li]Yellow Arrows: The look of the Waveform has to be the same as in the Players but I can’t get it to work.[/li]
[li]White Arrows: Also the look of the Cartwall Players has to be the same as in the Players but the code doesn’t seem to work the same way. [/li][/ol]

I have read the Wiki Pages over and over but apparently I am overlooking something. I assume all Cartwall commands have to be in the [Cartwall] and [CartwallToolbar] section of the skin.ini?

Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. When the work is done I will provide the skin.ini to interested users.

Torben, is it possible to change the appearance of the Buttons in the Cartwall? I’d like to change the active font color for instance the same way it’s done for the Playlist Buttons.

I’ve been using this setting among others without result:

[CartwallToolbar]
ButtonActiveColor=#0b0330

Would be grateful to hear from you.

Don’t know if this is a bug, but in Automation Mode the Play Button in the Players is not always shown when the Player is On Air. (Same goes for the Skip Button every now and then when the Player is not active btw)
After moving the mouse pointer over the Button it appears again. (see screenshots)

I’m not sure if this has happened before, but now I’m working on the skin.ini it just caught my eye. Might also have something to do with the skin.ini but I can’t find any errors: the only command I’m using in the [Player] section is ButtonBorderColor=#0b0330.

Would you be so kind to have a look at this one day?

Some additional information about the disappearing Player Buttons. Even with the skin.ini disabled, the Play button and the Fadeout button disappear every now and then. The Stop and Pause buttons never disappear however. I’m on 5.3.7. build 3218. Hope this helps a little.

Guys, am I the only one with this visual “problem”?

I have been unable to reproduce this.

Thanks for trying Torben.
I did some research and now I’m able to reproduce the situation:

In the Configuration Program: Playlists - Playlist 1 - Player - GIU Options, I ticked “Transparant Buttons” for all players. When not ticked, all is well. When activated, the FadeOut and Play button disappear every now and then. When you move over the buttons with the mouse, they are shown again.
When the Player is empty though (e.g. at program start), only the Stop button is shown. Other buttons are shown when you move over the button with the mouse. When you disable “Transparant Buttons”, all buttons are shown at startup as it should be. I’m on 5.3.7 build 3218.

Hope this helps

Just wondered if you have been able to reproduce this visual “problem” Torben. I know you’re busy and just thought I’d bring it to your attention again. No hurry though

I also see with transparant buttons no change in state of Loop & Hook mode

Correct me if I’m wrong: you do notice the disappearing Start and Fade-Out buttons?

Here it are the Start and stop ones, Hover over it with the mouse pointer and they are back.

Another matter on which I would like to ask your help: I would like the RowColor for instance red when there has been an error like the row in the screenshot. (Empty Folder)

ErrorRowColor=#ff0000 doesn’t do the trick while DummyRowColor=#ffffff does work. What am I missing here?
