I haven’t heard of this kind of problem (access violation on loading). Please give me the exact version and build number plus the exact error message, including the error address.
Hi Torben, this is not really related to mAirList as it appears to be another problem in iTunes.
The error message is:
BUILD SOURCE: Cannot Open file and then the path and filename.
This loading error only occurs when using a database search (iTunes).
I knew that the files existed so tried the same in iTunes which reported it was unable to find the file and prompted to add the file to the library. Although it was already present in the Itunes library, I added the file again and restarted mAirList, all was Ok so reloaded the whole library in iTunes, all of the problem files now load fine from a search.
The only difference when loading audio from a search it does not load the icons and colors specified for that category of audio. I guess something we cannot avoid as iTunes is not reading the mmd file.
Hopefully mAirListDB is not too far away to also take advantage of the scheduling that may be within.
Yes, exactly. When doing a search on an iTunes database, neither the MMD files nor ID3 tags are read, and auto-cue isn’t performed either. This is because this would have to be done before the item is displayed is the result list (because it cannot be done afterwards) - and imagine you had no MMD files but auto-cue enabled and did a search returning a few hundred files - get the point?
