6.1.2 Icon's not saving

Icon’s don’t appear to be working properly for us in 6.1.2 :frowning:

  1. Drag item from DB to playlist. Icon’s does not appear in either playlist or edit view.
  2. Edit item and add an Icon. It doesn’t appear in the edit view (white space). Click ‘Export to Database’, then ‘OK’ to close window. Icon appears in playlist.
  3. Drag item from DB to playlist. Icon does not appear in playlist. White space still appears in edit view.

Bump

Unable to reproduce.

When you set the icon in the Library, click OK to save, then reopen the Properties dialog, is it still there?

Are you using embedded items (Shift+Click in the Properties dialog when you set it)?

Hmm. I was able to re-produce just now on a clean install on a separate PC.

When clicking OK to save, and re-opening it’s blank as opposed to “(not set)”

Attached is a screenshot. I’ve opened properties for Item 2 in the playlist. I’ve also updated DB with ‘Export to Database’, then dragged the item accross again but that’s missing the icon (See Item 3).

Not using embedded.

Maybe something is wrong about the image format? Can you try another file, e.g. plain jpg?

It appears in properties rather than being blank, but still the same issue.

Screenshots:

  • DB Server application properties
  • DB item_icons table
  • Main application (It was quit to ensure the DB was fully re-loaded)

Torben - After speaking with Matt it appears to be related to this.

Works with search & playlist, but not dragging from the tree.

Thanks, that makes sense. Will upload snapshot 3871 shortly, please check if it works there.

Sorry for the delay - I’ve been out of the country on a proper holiday and no one else has been able to test in the interim.

All appears to be working on that snapshot, thanks very much. Much appreciated

Proper holiday… lucky you. But I can relate to the “noone else” part
